From the monthly archives:

August 2009

In case you didn’t notice, I have been MIA all week soaking up some San Diego sun and finally getting to meet one of my best friends in person. More details on that later.

But, before leaving last week, I had a session with a super cute 7 month old…

Notice anything new?

The NEW Raye Law Photography website is live! The previous website was reaching its 3 year mark and I have been working on this one for quite some time now. Although I would love to say it is complete, you may notice that the galleries still need some images. I plan on adding a few more finishing touches upon my return. Return from what I hear you asking?

The studio will be closed all this week until 8/31 while I meetup with some very cool photographer colleagues.  I will try to return emails during my stay and of course calls will be the week after.

With all the sprinkles of rain this week, I am thankful that last week was clear. I had so many clients traveling long distances and wanted the best weather for them knowing we couldn’t reschedule. The Parsons family had their family photography session around a planned trip and pass-through from Mississippi. I say time and again how much I enjoy photographing toddlers. It really is amazing how genuinely they show their feelings and emotions as the next year the cheesy grins start taking effect.

arkansas family professional pictures photographer

When I found out one of my repeat families was expecting a 3rd child, I was estatic! Then when I found out that it was going to be a sweet boy, I was over the moon. Knowing what it is like to be outnumbered in my own home, I was happy for daddy. Yes, we never pick favorites or care about the gender as long as the miracle gets here safe and healthy, but  now there will be just a bit more testosterone around.  And oh, how some days I could use a little more of the opposite.

The girls dresses are by J.Crew (crewcuts) and I also wrapped them in some peachy-pink cotton stretch gauze for a natural look.
