J is going to be a big brother soon and he brought along the proof for a “Mommy & Me” session. Isn’t he a ham? You may remember him from the feature in Toddler Magazine I had months ago. And although mom says she isn’t one to pose, she could have fooled me because all these images came so naturally for both of them.

I get asked when should I schedule pregnancy portraits? While it depends on each, this mommy is 30 weeks. You can see J’s newborn little brother on here in a couple of months!

Many people have been asking if I am doing mini sessions again this year and the answer is….YES!

The 4th Annual Raye Law Photography Fall MINI Session Event dates will be announced soon. Last year year within a week of the announcement, there was a waiting list. And, because I am now booking the months of Sept/Oct/Nov already, it seems it is the time to get those dates set.

I am so very proud to be able to donate some of the proceeds for the 2009 event to a charity near and dear to me, The SUSAN G. KOMEN foundation.

Breast cancer took my grandmother’s life and almost took my mother’s. Recently, a dear client-turned-friend was diagnosed and is currently undergoing chemo while trying to raise 3 girls (2 of them under the age of 4). Kristina listened to her instincts and pushed her doctor for a mammogram even though she was only 31. That same month, my mother’s best friend was also diagnosed. She is also very close to my heart. I have seen with my eyes the advancements that places like the breast cancer center at UAMS have done with those dollars in just the few years since my mother’s surgery/treatment, and I want to be apart of that with this event this year.

So tell your friends and start looking at your calendars for October and another annoucement will give all the details/info soon.

{A quick post before I leave on a small trip}

The newest Coleman baby girl arrived early July and we planned an on-location shoot at the home of the grandparents on her 7th day. What an amazing backyard they have created with the perfect amount of shade, grass, and flowers. A session with these 3 girls could not have went any smoother – such sugary sweetness.

Thank you for being so kind and welcoming…I enjoyed every single minute with you.

This week I have not had much time for blogging. What’s been going on?

Changes made in the studio – paint, and a new wood floor/wall prop shown below that my amazing dad made for me.
Newborn shoots (check back for an on-location shoot to post soon)
Lots of proofing/ordering

BUT most exciting – developing a NEW website (or two).

Also, a little reminder: Currently, I am booking August – October.
