April 2009

I don’t know if you can feel the excitement in my typing, but I am still on a “photographer’s high” from our shoot. I immediately knew I wanted to do a heart pose (as well as others) after seeing one done by Baby As Art

Baby J and Baby L were 13 days old Tuesday. They are assumed identical because they shared a placenta but different sacks. But me and mom agree that we can tell them apart after getting to know them a bit. You can ask any client that has come for a newborn session, I love to take over and give mom a break. So I tend to feed (when there is a bottle), change diapers, etc. This time though mom and dad had to help me out a little ;)

Baby C was close to 10 pounds. Mama’s 4th boy! I could see some similarities between him and older brother J (I also shot his newborn pictures a couple of years ago).

The thunderstorms Monday gave us some gorgeous moody light. Of course I also pulled out the studio lighting for a few family shots near the end. I’m glad I didn’t miss out on photographing the sweet boy.

These Fayetteville sisters took a chance that the rain would hold out Saturday long enough for us to go to have a play date outside in the alley way and around town. Full of sassy spunk and dressed in the cutest duds, we had a somewhat urban session after a few in the studio.

Two years – how it has flown by! It was then that I photographed baby N as a newborn, who is now grown to a sweet loving big sister. The little guy that made her a sis so could not be more laid back. I know these two will be best of friends in no time. Their mommy and I share our love of newborns as she is an OB/GYN (and even performed c-sections the week after her own delivery)!
