natural beauty | Conway, AR newborn photographer

I know I have been MIA on the blog but I had to come share this sweet newborn from Conway. She had the most gorgeous natural highlights in her soft hair…such a gorgeous baby!

Raye Law Photography was asked how she photographs/captures toddlers. I gave 10 tips and they featured the article on Toddler Magazine's online site. Toddler Magazine is a national publication in association with New Parent magazine. Check out the 11 page spread featuring some of Raye's little clients! I submitted quite of few images...congrats to the kiddos they selected.
Wow....just wow...... Earlier this year, one of PPA mag's editor's contacted me about possibly featuring some of my work in the magazine. At first I thought it was a spoof email. This magazine is an UNBELIEVABLE honor to ever get into. One thing lead to another, and I was interviewed about my studio. The story snippet is on the front page "Maximize Your Mini-Space: Small Spaces, Big Business". In the article, I reveal a little about my business practices and how my space works for me. Thank you Cameron and I hope to work with you more in the future. So, today ...

His gorgeous baby blues…and long feathery lashes…and cute pinchable cheeks, and the perfect soft swept hair…I could go on and on, but I’ll let you see for yourself why everything about him is adorable.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
These are gorgeous Raye. What a cutie!
I am so glad that his mommy made the short trip to Charleston to have these precious memories captured by such a talented photographer. I wish you would have been around when my kids were babies. Keep up the good work!
I love all of them! I can’t thank you enough!
You never cease to amaze me Raye- these are just STUNNING!!! What an adorable baby and you captured him so well!

This family had my last opening for 2009. What a special one too as I have photographed them many times and it is always a pleasure.
A note: In months of December and January, the studio will only be open for newborn sessions and client ordering.
Now, that all sessions are completed, I will be kicking into overdrive this week to ensure all deliveries will be made by Christmas. Because of the time crunch, galleries cannot be extended. Thank you so much to everyone for truly the best fall-family experiences yet!

This post makes me so happy for many reasons…A very thoughtful person gave this mommy a gift certificate for a session in celebration of her children – and what gorgeous, beautiful souls they are. It is a session like this that makes me feel once more reconnected & reinspired about what I do for it wasn’t about any new location or prop, any specific outfit, any specific idea or pose – it was about THEM.
This week is all about taking a step back from the routine daily chaos and realizing what blessings you have been given. As I type, I have two of those in their tiny beds…and my love of my life in mine. That’s all that matters and thank you God for each day I have with them.

Oh aren’t they gorgeous. What a beautiful family.
Magic my friend…. pure, pure magic xx
I just love everything about these – the mood, the light, the gorgeous children. So simple yet they speak volumes about family love. xoxo You are the best, R.
This session is just beautiful! I love the emotion and the heart behind these. I can totally hear their family song through these. Gorgeous.
Seeing this session makes me so happy too!!!!! What a beautiful family and you captured them perfectly! Everything you do appears effortless yet with untouchable results. You have such a special touch to every session and I always look forward to seeing them!!!
These are beautiful, Raye! The one of the brother/sister kiss with the blanket is amazing. It is going to be so hard to help her pick favorites.
beautiful images raye
…(to finish what I started) sister standing in chair…everthing about that picture is divine.
So many things to love about this session. It would be hard to pick a favorite but leaning towards brother kissing sister with blanket wrapped around them & love the one of
so great raye! you are the best! love them all!
Wow what a beautiful session!!! The light & your processing are perfect!
Totally gorgeous!!!!!! You are the best Raye!!! (And I’m a nerd, because I’m excited that I have the same blanket as you!!)
STUNNING!! The images just sing….such beauty, Raye. Wonderful, wonderful job. You are so inspiring.
What an absolutely beautiful session, Raye! Every image is just beyond gorgeous. What a lucky mom to have such beautiful children and you to capture them:).
What an AMAZING session Raye!! Gorgeous kiddos, gorgeous processing!!!

I really love all the texture this session had in it (the leaves, old corroded metal, rocks, wispy grasses, etc.) Mom really wanted some by the old trucks and then it seems the natural progression has been downtown and on to a field. These sisters had such unique and different personalities – each having their own beauty. And even though it was a day full of clouds, they were shining.

In all the fall family craze, I still managed to get this little beauty in for session. She is quite special…you see she is the first baby girl in over 50 years. Yes, she has more than a handful of boy cousins to keep in line. And even more on the way!

These are absolutely adorable! I am in awe of your work.
First girl in 50 years…wow…that is awesome. These are so soft and precious just like her. Fantastic work Raye!
So amazing (as usual!)!!!
Love all of these, Raye!
Simply breathtaking… every single one of them!
Everyone of these is so soft and delicate. So perfect for this precious little girl. Congratulations to the family! These are beautiful, Raye.

Is it possible that this family makes me grow as a photographer? I enjoy shooting them so… Yes, its also great seeing the whole brother dynamic. Almost like watching my own two interact sometimes. And always gaining new insight into how to mix a bit of posed (if you call it even that) and candids of these two boys with loads of fun energy. Adore you D and H!
This year we tried out a new spot…which was a bit muddy, but what boy doesn’t love to climb? The alley (Charleston’s one and only) had many people stop by – they just had a make a remark about the P family’s newest (and biggest) member Roscoe. Yes, that is a dog, not a horse. LOL

These are beautiful, Raye!!! I love your processing, and I love the unique locations.
Those boys are precious! I love little boys with stark white hair…it’s so cute! And Roscoe is AWESOME! We have a Rosco, but he is not NEAR as big as that puppy!! <3 your work!!
wow! These are gorgeous!
Lovely….you are very inspiring! Beautiful family!!
I have lots of blogging to do and not much time to do it. Peek posts are one of my favorite parts of the session process, and although I may not “peek” each one, please know I want to.
The crazy season ends this week here, but more work continues as galleries get proofed, christmas card orders get mocked-up, orders get placed, albums get assembled, and pretty soon it will be December. Take note that December through January, the studio will be closed and only a select number of newborn sessions will be taken. I use this time to revamp for 2010 and of course spend time with family.
This session was a nice change of pace. Older sis is an amazing gymnast. The last image is one of many that we did at near dark – the “blue” hour if you will. She wowed me in all her abilities. And I know that “taking pictures” is usually not in the fun category for 5th grade boys, but we did work out a deal that he got to pick what was for supper that night.
A loving family…a loving-good time.

The last one is absolutely brilliant.
oh raye!! these are fantasmic!! that last one is to die for. i’m sure they will be beyond thrilled to have such beautiful pictures of their family.
Amazing session Raye! You continue to be one of my favorite family photographers:). What a beautiful family–love that last family image!
Thinking I might have another baby, JUST so you can photograph him or her.
